Shipping Policy

When purchasing a physical good, you agree to provide us with a valid email and shipping address, as well as valid billing information. We reserve the right to reject or cancel an order for any reason, including errors or omissions in the information you provide to us. If we do so after payment has been processed, we will issue a refund to you in the amount of the actual purchase price you have paid.

We also may request additional information from you prior to confirming a sale and we reserve the right to place any addition restrictions on the sale of any of our products. The estimated delivery time will be specified in your Order; however, as we use a third party to deliver Orders it is possible that your Order will arrive before or after the estimated delivery time. Purchases will only be shipped to a valid mailing address (as determined by us in our sole and absolute discretion). However, please note that we may not be able to ship to all valid addresses and, in such circumstances, we reserve the right in our sole and absolute discretion to cancel your Order. Please note that multiple Orders may not always be shipped together. In addition, depending on the size of your Order, you may receive several shipments to complete your Order. In the event we are not able to ship to the shipping address you provide, we will notify you, your Order will be cancelled, and you will receive a refund in respect of your Order (unless you are able to provide an alternate eligible shipping address). We further reserve the right not to offer expedited or other forms of shipping.

 Shipping rates are calculated based on the postal code of the delivery location and the weight of the items ordered. Small badge/crest/pin orders weighing under 50 grams which can fit into an envelope that is no thicker than 15mm will be shipped Canada Post Lettermail at a rate of $2.50. All other orders are shipped through Canpar with tracking and insurance included. Shipping times vary based on delivery locations but most range between 3 and 10 days. 

In an effort to offer the lowest possible shipping rates we have worked with our order fulfilment partner, Lowe-Martin, to quote with all major Canadian carriers, including Canada Post.  CANPAR provides the best rates for our purposes.  Rates are based on your postal code and the weight of the shipment, not the size of the package or value of the order.  Structuring our shipping rates this way provides better value to our members.   

In addition, to keep rates as low as possible we have capped the under 10 lb rates.  We also subsidize our rates by not passing along the fuel surcharge which is a fluctuating fee that is part of every shipping charge.  The current fuel surcharge is around a 20% cost in addition to the base rate.  We also continue to offer a $2.50 option for small badge, crest, and pin orders that can be sent by Canada Post Lettermail (fit into a regular envelope without being over 15 mm in thickness or 50 grams in weight).  Free shipping applies on orders valued over $500 and we are working on ways to make bulk orders easier for Groups.

To prevent theft and lost packages orders valuing over $300 will be sent signature required.

IMPORTANT: Opting out of the signature requirement using the Canpar delivery options will exempt Scouts Canada from any responsibility for lost or stolen packages once they have been delivered

While we strive to maintain our shipping rates occasionally we must update them.  Any increase to rates is done in accordance with updates to the base rates from CANPAR.

All US and International mail Orders are processed Monday through Friday from 8:30 - 4:30 EST, excluding holidays. Shipping and handling charges for US and International orders are based on the destination country and the total weight of the order. We will contact you by email to confirm the final shipping and handling cost options. Please ensure that you have entered your correct email address with your login information. We will not process the order until we have heard back from you confirming to us the shipping and handling charges that you have been quoted.

Your Order may be subject to custom and duties which are payable by you upon receipt of your Order. Charges differ from country to country so you may want to check with your local customs officials for more information on customs and duties.

  • If your Order cannot be completed due to a back order, we will contact you to determine a course of action.
  • Oversized items are excluded from the standard shipping costs; these costs must be quoted based on their final destination. Please be sure to provide us with an email address.

How long will it take to receive my order?

  • All orders are processed within 1- 2 business days but may take longer during the start of the Scouting year when order volumes are high. 
  • Group orders placed using the Group Order Tool may require an additional 24-48 hours to fill and ship.
  • Transit time, within Canada, is approximately 2-7 business days depending on shipping address/destination.
  • Tracking your order can be done at the Online Store by clicking on YOUR ACCOUNT or through the Shipping Confirmation email you received when your order shipped.
